Overview: MomoToon ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This policy explains our data handling practices for the MomoToon mobile application. We operate on a local-first philosophy and do not require account registration to read comics.

1. Information We Collect

We collect and process only the minimal technical data strictly necessary to deliver core reader functionality:

Device Technical Information: Device model, OS version, locale/language settings, screen metrics, and network connectivity state (Wi-Fi/cellular) to ensure proper interface rendering and stable content streaming.
Local Bookshelf and Reading Progress: Comic bookmarks, current chapter numbers, and scroll positions are saved locally on your device in sandboxed storage.
Local Cache Storage: Downloaded chapter image panels are temporarily cached locally to support fast offline reading. You can manage or clear this cache anytime via Settings > Cache Management.
Diagnostics and Crash Reports: Anonymous crash traces and technical exceptions to diagnose bugs and maintain performance.

2. How We Use Data

Rendering comic chapters and seamlessly restoring your reading state.
Maintaining local caching for offline viewing and reduced data usage.
Diagnosing stability issues and preventing software errors.
Powering optional rewarded ads that grant temporary ad-free privileges.
Safeguarding backend resources against abusive automated scraping.

3. Third-Party Services

MomoToon integrates verified partner SDKs that process technical data under their respective policies:

Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): We integrate Google Mobile Ads to deliver banner, interstitial, and rewarded video advertisements. We adhere to industry-standard privacy frameworks and consent controls to honor user choices globally.

4. Storage, Security, and Retention

Local-First Architecture: Your reading records and bookshelf items are stored locally on your device and are never sold or rented to data brokers.
Encryption in Transit: All network requests use industry-standard HTTPS / TLS 1.3 cryptographic protocols.

5. Your Rights and Controls

Clear Cache: Wipe cached comic panels anytime via Settings > Cache Management.
Clear History: Delete any comic from your Bookshelf or History directly inside the app.
Manage Consent: Reopen and update advertising consent preferences via Settings > Privacy Choices.
Total Removal: Uninstalling the app permanently erases all local application data from your device.

6. Children's Privacy

MomoToon is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us for prompt deletion.

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy. Substantive updates will be published on this page or indicated via in-app notices.
